Oh look, another Symfony blog..

Ahaha yes! Well spotted!

I intend for this blog to be a place where I can unload my knowledge of the Symfony framework, ranging from problem-solving to old fashioned programming zealotry. I won’t be mentioning any framework other than Symfony during the lifetime of this blog, as I detest drama and would rather just get on and build web applications instead.

I’m a 31 (nearly 32) year old Scottish web developer who works for a small web development agency in Glasgow called Indez International. I have been using the Symfony framework since 0.6 went stable, when I stumbled across it whilst researching RAD frameworks for my old job at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Having made my choice, I set off and built the new Heriot-Watt homepage using Symfony and haven’t looked back since. In fact, it was the skills I picked up whilst using the framework that appealed to my current employer; you could say that I owe Fabien and François a pint of foaming beverage, but that would be an understatement.

Thanks for reading thus far and I hope this blog will be of use to you in your quest for your own personal Symfonic nirvana.
